How did you get introduced to yoga?
I started doing yoga on November 2013 because a knee injury stopped me from running. It was a very intense period in my life, my work schedule was hectic, I had no time for myself, I was really stressed and I needed some kind of relaxing routine when I got home.
When did yoga get “serious”?
I started yoga, I bought Kino MacGregor's book and followed her youtube channel, this is where it all began.
Can you share your biggest challenges?
The biggest challenge for me was to not become a slave of my daily commute to work that didn't leave me any time for myself.
How do you handle pressure?
I have been practicing mainly by myself for three years now and I have seen my body flexibility change month after month.
How did your passion influence your life in other ways?
If you have a daily yoga practice, even if a short one, you will see the difference breath after breath: your body will slowly open and your mind will become lighter and calm.
What does your daily routine look like?
I started waking up 30 minutes earlier (6:00 am) to practice and have some time for myself. If I wanted to sleep, I would switch and practice after work, at 8 pm, even if only for 10-20 minutes, focusing on my breath.
What keep you motivated
I can honestly say that yoga has made my life different, not only my body opened and healed but my mind became steady and I learned how to breathe when things in life don't go exactly as planned.
Anything you’d like to share?
This was one of the best decisions I took for myself in my whole life, at 40 I finally feel a better version of my previous self.
